Who can apply?Everyone! Regardless of year, major, or industry of choice, everyone at Vanderbilt is welcome to apply for FMC.

Do I need to know how to use Excel?No. We’ll teach you everything you need. Prior Excel knowledge is helpful but not required.

What is the application process?Submit a short application form and resume. Selected applicants will complete one short technical interview.

Why is the interview technical?We want to make sure all participants can handle the workload. The interview checks for basic comfort with numbers and logic—not advanced modeling.

What does the interview look like?The interview is based directly on the prep materials we share (videos + slides). If you review them, you’ll be well prepared.

What kind of time commitment is FMC?Expect weekly sessions of about 1 hour, plus any practice you choose to do on your own.
